He was born at Owode Yewa, Ogun State, Nigeria.
He attended St Paul’s Anglican Primary School and Area Community High School, both in Owode Yewa. He is a trained Science Laboratory Technologist (Electrical and Electronics option) from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, and holds a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Physics Electronics from Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). He has a Doctor of Science (D, Sc) Degree in Science Laboratory Technology (h.c) from DFICU Universities, United Kingdom.
He also has a Master’s Degree in Data Science and Information Systems from Osiri University, Lincoln, Nebraska, USA. Currently running his PhD in Business Innovation and multidisciplinary studies (Tech Venture Option) at Osiri University, Lincoln, Nebraska, USA. He is an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology. He is a Chief Laboratory Technologist and currently the Zonal Coordinator of NISLT (FMIS&T) South –East- Zonal Office, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
He was the National Secretary of the National Association of Science Laboratory Technology Students (NASLTES) in 2001, where he contributed in no small measure to the passage of the ACT 12 of 2003 of the National Assembly that established the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology as a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (FMST&I). He was the Branch Secretary of ASLTON (ASLPON) NISLT BRANCH for two terms, and National Secretary of the Association of Science Laboratory Technologists of Nigeria ASLTON Now ASLPON
from 2016 to 2020. He also served as a member of the National Executive Council (NEC) of ASLTON as Ex- Officio II from 2020 to 2023.
In 2021, He was inducted into the NASLTES Hall of Fame. He has presented Papers and Publications in the field of Science Laboratory Technology and participated in Conferences and Workshops.
In June 2025, Osiri University, Lincoln, Nebraska, USA, recognised his innovation work with an honour by publishing his story titled: From Owode Yewa to Nation Building Through Science: The Journey of Grassroots Innovators. www.osiriuniversity.org/babajide.
He also has a certificate of Completion of a course titled:PH1252X: Data Science: Visualization A course of study offered by HarvardX an online learning initiative of Harvard University, And a Certificate of completion on A course titled AI and deep learning for beginners by SimplyLearn Skillup USA, He is currently participating on The Osiri Business Lab pitch program and emerged among the final 28 participants shortlisted for the final pitch coming up in January 2026 His area of interest is waste to wealth project in Nigeria.
Babajide Gboyega Alalade is the founder of HTA Organization, a Non-Governmental Organization to take ICT to
the grassroots, (established in 2003). Over 500 people have been trained on various ICT SKILLS and were given scholarship awards in their different chosen careers.
He is also the founder of Science and Tech Connect, an organisation that has a vision to take science, technology and innovation to the grassroots with a website forum and a blog dedicated to sharing information on science, Engineering, Technology and Innovation. He has certifications in science and technology management both within and outside Nigeria.

He is happily married to Mrs Temitope Alalade, and the marriage is blessed with a girl, Dideoluwa.
